The owners of a new restaurant in a tourist port town wanted to come in and stand out. They wanted a personality that would rise above the rest and give the people of Goderich a laugh, and feel welcome. So the first instinct would be to harken back to its nautical roots in a salt mine town. The Old Saltie’s brand came through with traditional sailor visuals and straight up sass.
Creating a logo, illustrations, and merchandise, with a full print and social campaign that drove the numbers for a small fish and chip spot to stay open 12 months a year in a 5 month market.
